Yesterday Lairen came over and we did a little garbage bag thrifting. You know--getting rid of clothes you don't need or don't want and you have a friend that's desperately in need of some new clothes? Yeah, that. She had a couple bags o' things that she no longer needed so she gave me the chance to go through and pick out what I wanted and didn't want. It was pretty successful. Scored lots of basics, a few cardigans, some button-downs, and some nice cozy wear. Overall? Success.
In the morning Dean and I went for his surgery consultation. For the record, this is what his windshield looked like at the glorious hour of eight AM.
| I'm convinced that Portland is doing it wrong on purpose. Fort Wayne's weather has been in the eighties almost all week! |
It doesn't sound like it's going to be all too bad. Just some swelling, he'll feel all stuffed up, and he'll just want to take it a bit easy for a while. As Lairen suggested, though, the healing process will give us good fodder for the ugly blog.
While Dean was at his work meeting, Lairen and I finally got the joy of watching 'Yellow Submarine' together. It's been years since I've watched it from beginning to end and I forgot almost completely how unbelievably happy that movie makes me. I'll likely post more tonight, but I'll leave you this morning with a little dose of what makes me happy.

ad hoc, ad loc and quid pro quo!
Good luck to Dean with his surgery.
i just did one of those clothing swaps with a friend...so fun.
I've always wanted to do a clothing swap but my friends and I have different taste and clothes and we are different sizes :( It's great that you both had a successful swap.
