Homogays? Really?!?

After getting out of bed today, I made my usual morning rounds.  Washed my face, lit up a cigarette, brewed some coffee, and flipped open my laptop to make my usual internet stops.  Upon scrolling down the Facebook feed for a minute, I came across a site that my aunt posted.  It's a list of strange teen behaviors as identified by the ever so ethical writers over at www.christwire.org.  Yes, friends.  This site does exist.  It's more or less a www.cracked.com for religious zealots with little to no idea of what Christianity is supposed to be about.

I've made it abundantly clear on several occasions here on this blog that I am not a Christian, nor do I subscribe to many of those beliefs.  That being said, most of my friends are Christian and debate is something that tends to come naturally in our conversations.  We don't attack each other, we don't make it a point to tell each other how incorrect in our beliefs we are--we simply discuss.  I want to know why they believe the way that they do and they want to know why I believe the way that I do.  It's a total give and take and in my opinion, that's how it should be.

Coming across this site made me a bit nauseous.  For one, it makes me fear for those of my friends who are adamant Christians.  Not all people of the Christian faith fear the 'homogays' as described by this internet abomination.  The Christians I associate with don't look at My Little Pony as a doorway to bestiality and sadomasochism.  The Christians I know don't look at homosexuals as "homogays" or godless heathens.

I urge you to take a look at this site and pick apart the many things that are wrong with it.  I clicked on a few links before having to close out of it altogether for fear of having to rush to my bathroom to vomit.

A friend of mine just texted me in response to this post.  Apparently this website is just a joke intended to get reactions just like mine.  They had me.  They really had me.  I still stand by what I said though.  I'm sure there are people out there with lines of thought not too far off from this.  Yeesh.
